Eyam Moor III, Freestanding Stone Circle

Like Eyam Moor II, this site was believed destroyed and was rediscovered in 1983 when the heather was burnt back. Today you can see four remaining orthostats and an oval shaped cairn in the centre with a trench cut through it.

I started out looking for Eyam Moor II and found this one instead, despite the fact that they are over 200m apart. After much searching I managed to find all four upright stones and one large stone in the SE corner, just away from the central cairn. The uprights range from 30-50 cm high.
