Beeley Warren Northeast
Beeley Warren Northeast, Ringcairn or Robbed Cairn
This circle is impossible to find in summer, even with GPS. The immediate area is so heavily overgrown with dense bracken that it makes finding and viewing this site out of the question in that season. Plan to visit when the bracken has died down as I did on my second visit in March and you will be able to see a lot more.
Sadly, there really isn’t there isn’t a huge amount to see here because of the heavy overgrowth and again, because of the lack of an entrance, there is the possibility of it being a robbed cairn and not a ringcairn.
Please note that during my research I found that the names for the Beeley Moor sites were inconsistent and so the naming convention I use here is of my own invention. These same sites may be listed under other names by other authors.
