Ewden Beck
Ewden Beck, Embanked Stone Circle
If Ewden Beck is truly an embanked stone circle, then it is very hard to make out in its current condition. Damaged and heavily overgrown in summer it could easily be mistaken for a naturally occurring jumble of rocks. I attempted to record what I could see in order to convey what is here today, but without doubt there is more to this site hidden below the heather and bracken.
Well worth a visit though, even if only to start your enquiry with one of the few true stone circles that lie within the Park boundary, plus Ewden Beck is unique in that it has upright stones on both its inner and outer embankment edges.
